Haven't seen Watkins since the end of the regular season. At this point the players aren't required to be at Rams Park. Plus, I haven't been at Rams Park much over the past two weeks. I spent most of last week at the Super Bowl, and most of the previous week at the Senior Bowl. -

Well, first off you have to see who's there in free agency. There's a lot of names on the list right now, but many of the top names will either be re-signed or franchised before we get to March 12. And of course, what happens in the five-plus weeks of free agency will have an impact on what you do in the draft. For example, if the Rams sign a starting offensive tackle and offense guard in free agency _ hypothetically speaking here _ then they probably won't draft an offensive lineman. At least not in the early rounds. -

Jim, the cost of building a new state of the art stadium would cost about $1 billion. Even if the NFL grant provides $200 million, Kroenke willing to chip in $500 million, that would still leave the public to pay for anywhere from $200-$300 million for a new stadium. With St Louis still paying off the original cost of the Dome, to really think that the public will sign up for more money is absurd. What do you think? -
Well, the CVC's offer was up to about $200 million during the arbitration hearing. So that money is available. Right? By the time this new stadium gets on line, five or 10 years will have passed, and so most of that original cost will have been paid. So it's not really as absurd as it sounds. What's absurd is that the original top tier clause was in the lease to begin with. -

In theory a veteran wide receiver obtained via free agency might help what's still a young corps. The question is, even if guys such as Bowe or Wallace worth 10-12 million on a cap-strapped team. Running back I'd rather draft _ those guys have only so many miles on them, sos why not get a fresh set of legs. Safety, I could go either way _ because there are some good ones available in free agency (at least now) in Jairus Byrd and William Moore. But there are some good ones available in the draft. The same holds true for offensive tackle _ there are some good ones available in the draft. -

He was much more consistent catching the ball, but still had a costly drop here and there, particularly early in the season. He also improved over his time in St. Louis on yards after the catch, knowing where the chains are, etc. But he still has trouble gaining separation against the better corners. And the question becomes: If you're truly going to be a playoff contender, aren't you better off with Gibson as a No. 3 or No. 4 instead of a starter. -
Somehow I've deleted a question asking whether it was Rob Ryan who left the Rams or a mutual decision. It was more Ryan's decision than the Rams. The closer it got to finally making the decision, the more difficulty Ryan had with actually taking the job. Here's a link to a previous story that might help explain: www.stltoday.com -

I would guess the Rams would talk about him, but the Rams have a very good locker room, and Young could disrupt it. Fisher's record with troubled athletes wasn't perfect. See: Pac Man Jones, Randy Moss. Even Albert Haynesworth had one monster year, then took the money and ran. -
