Nope, The Rams have had some doozies over the years but nothing like that. In college, I covered the 5th Down game (Missouri-Colorado) and the "Norman Conquest" (Oklahoma 77, Mizzou 0). The Rams two Super Bowls during the Greatest Show period were memorable. But nothing quite like last Sunday in Candlestick.

Hard to say. In the case of Jenkins, this obviously isn't the first time he has run into trouble in terms of off-the-field issues. Lawrence Phillips, for example, didn't change. But I do think Jenkins has a passion for the game. I don't think Phillips did.

It looked to me like this was a game where the officials were looking to call stuff, and to me those are the worst kind of crews and worst kind of games. These guys messed up the clock twice in the game: on a measurement in the first half and the re-spotting of the ball on Isaiah Pead late in the game. I still don't know why the flag was so late and 40 yards downfield on Amendola on the 80 yard play. That play decided the game. If, as Mike Pereira speculated, the refs wanted to make sure Saffold wasn't an eligible receiver, why did it take so long to decided that. If you see it, throw the flag. Also the "block in the back" was a very questionable call. From the press box side of the field, it look very much like a legal block on the side. Even on the delay call on the field goal, it was a very quick whistle. Most times, teams will get the benefit of the doubt for a click or half a click, but they didn't in this case. So I don't think it was a well-called game.

I'm sure Billy Devaney and Steve Spagnuolo have wondered about that very question on more than one occasion. But last time I checked, Demoff had nothing to do with coaching the team or deciding who to draft or who to sign in free agency.

I think Bradford is a bum. I don't know about you, but I expect a lot more out of a QB than a 67 percent completion percentage, 2 TD passes, a 104.1 passer rating, and a late-game go-ahead TD drive on the road against a team that's ranked second in the league in defense. That's a pretty feeble effort against a defense that hadn't given up a TD in four of it last five games.

I'm shocked that the Rams didn't trade Steven Jackson for a bag of potato chips. The problem with Steven is that when he spends all that time dancing to the hole his helmet occasionally falls off.

They had been talking at one point. Don't know if anything is ongoing at this time.

I guarantee you, they got the 49ers' attention.

Well Stewart now has a knee issue. He was hurt all through camp.

You may be right. But I think we can all agree it would be good to see a 1a or 1b out there. The Rams need another playmaker or two on offense. Maybe it's Givens. Maybe it turns out to be Quick. But myself, I would still think long and hard about adding another player in the draft.

Interesting point. Even more interesting is the fact that Quick's TD catch was a play designed for Givens. Quick was only in there because GIvens was benched.

I'll just say this. From what I understand, it would not be shocking to see the Rams with one or two new safeties next season.

I think $6 million a year sounds like it's in the ballpark. Of course, that could change if Amendola gets hurt again. He needs to stay healthy and keep producing at his current pace.

Seriously? Well, this is his big week. After six years as NY Jets offensive coordinator, the NY Jets come to town this Sunday.

Join the club for wondering about that one. I don't have an answer for you. He was on the field for only a handful of plays after that catch and wasn't targeted again. He actually played less Sunday _ even without Givens _ than he has in a few weeks.

I don't know if they've been fined. But I will check. And yes, under normal (i.e., not being benched) circumstances, players on the pregame inactive list get paid.

I think he wanted to have the flexibility to call one, or two, or three running plays and not be rushed.
