while it was tough to take a lot of positives from sundays game, i daryl richardson and isiah pead make some nice runs -(and the run blocking seemed decent) do you think getting rid of steven jax at this point could help these guys get more touches and experience - or is steven a great mentor and worth keeping for the time being? -
Hello again everybody. I don't think you can put too much stock in what happened at the end of the game. Richardson had four carries for 43 yards and Pead 3 carries for 32 yards on the Rams' final two possessions of the game. By that time it was 45-7 Patriots, New England had its JV in on defense _ non-starters _ and was playing soft coverage to prevent the big play. -

I know the rumors are rampant about steven jax - you hear about a lot of teams and the possibility of them offering a 3rd 4th or whatever rounder - what im wondering is - is there any chance that the rams would consider a trade for a player? and if so, what position would they covet if this were to be considered -
One reason rumors are rampant is there's little else to talk about on local talk radio. I think if anyone offered the Rams a third rounder _ maybe even a fourth-rounder _ Jackson would be gone. I guess there's always the possibility the Rams could trade for an existing player, but I think the team would prefer draft picks. -

-
I guess it depends on what you would prefer. Eight more games of Jackson helping the offense and helping to mentor the younger players. Or maybe a sixth_ or seventh-rounder. I also wonder how trading Jackson would play in the locker room. How many times have we heard Jeff Fisher say that he is conceding nothing this season. Wouldn't trading Jackson constitute saying you've given up on 2012? -

Looks like safety Matt Daniels, the undrafted rookie from Virginia, is out for the season with a torn ACL. The Rams could put him on IR this week, but there's no rush since this is the bye week. Barry Richardson was cleared of a concussion in-game on Sunday. Joe Barksdale limped off a little later, but came back out on the field a couple of plays later. Lance Kendricks left for a while with leg cramps. -
Why don't the Rams go with more "no huddle Offense"? Sma seems to do much better at this especially early in the game thinking back to the Giants last year and the Patriots first drive. I know this puts more pressure on our defense if we go 3 and out, but no huddle doesn't always need to be at a fast pace (just fast enough to keep the defense from switching personnel - like Peyton Manning does). -

As puzzled as we are with the lack of playing time for Quick, the Patriots game might have shown some answers. He looked absolutely lost tracking that ball on the INT. If he had reacted quicker, he might have had a chance to catch it himself. Then he didn't make an effort to tackle the guy, maybe he thought it was still college rules _ once you're down even if untouched, the play's over. Then there was the drop of that pass over the middle. And then there was the play where he couldn't get lined up right and Bradford had to point him in the right direction.

There has been no official practice scheduled issued to the media yet for this week, but I believe the team will be practicing on Weds. and Thurs. during the bye week. I'd assume that Amendola will be doing a little more this week as he continues to target a Nov. 11 return in San Francisco. I'll be interested to see if Safflod and Wells practice this week. -

Givens said he has been battling a nagging toe issue for a while _ not enough to cause him to miss any games or miss any practices. But he stubbed the toe _ or stomped on it as he put it _ on the series after the TD catch. He felt good enough to return to the game prior to halftime. The bye week will help. -
I agree playmakers are a need on offense, but at some point I want to see Sam rise to his potential and elevate or even invent the playmakers on this team. When I watch New England I see more offensive line protection resulting in (and I know its Brady) not necessarily superstar playmakers carve defenses up and lead the league in scoring. Can Sam approach this sort of who play? -

I mentioned this at the start of training camp, so it's not some big revelation. The Rams' roster includes nothing but strong safeties, box safeties, in terms of veterans. Dahl and Mikell are good defending the run. Mikell has been very good in the box this season. But against an elite TE like Gronkowski, the Rams liabilities in coverage at safety were exposed. -
Anyone with a brain knows that theonly way to beat the Brady is to hit, hurry, pressure, and smack down Brady. Brady was unhurried throughout the game. Why couldn't the Rams effectively blitz? Do we lack effective blitzers? Is it a defense scheme problem or a player personnel problem. Why not bring the house when Brady is putting back to back to back to back 80 yard TD drives? How often did we blitz and who did we send in on the blitzes. Also, have opposing teams figured out how to shut down the impact of Quinn and Long? -
