As a season ticket holder since the Rams arrived I am happy to see competitive football again. I understand why the dome is empty, but I hope fans will start hopping on the bandwagon soon to get the dome back to a real sellout. I understand 15-65 over the last few years and open lease negotiations dosent help, but what do those close to the rams think about the current attendance? My greatest fear is a lack of interest by the fans makes a relocation much easier. Then again I am optimistic the fans are showing up in the numbers they are with such a horrible stretch of football in the past. -
Attendance, or lack thereof, has nothing to do with the lease or relocation. That's all about negotiations. Nothing else. Attendance is all about the product. And I think the Rams front office realizes that a couple victories this season won't change the perception about a team that won only 15 of 80 games from 2007 through 2011. As we sit he right now, there is some concern about what do about the Arizona game. The game is still more than 1,300 seats short of meeting sellout requirements. If the Rams decide to black this one out, it will be a long wait before St. Louis gets another home prime time game. The Rams have to make a decision by 7:20 tonight. -

When the Rams play a defense that isn't really good. They're in a stretch of tough defenses, and even though Arizona gave up a lot of yards Sunday to Miami, they come to St. Louis third in the league in points allowed. And after watching how Chicago destroyed a highly-regarded Dallas offense last night _ in Dallas _ what the Rams did at Soldier Field doesn't seem quite so abysmal. -

-
Only a few Big Red fans left in St. Louis. Bill Bidwill, after all, took the team to the desert in 1987. Some still rooted for the team from 1988 through '94, the period in which St. Louis didn't have pro football, but most _ not all, but most of that group switched over to the Rams in 1995. -

As good as our defense has been, why does it seem that our safeties have been invisible? Especially with our CB's doing so well, one would hope that would free up the safeties to make plays on the ball and in the backfield. Not gonna yell for TJohnson to get thrown back there, but maybe a little more DStewart and RMcleod and a little less Dahl? -
If you've watched the past two games, against primarily run-oriented teams, the safeties have been anything but invisible. Both Mikell and Dahl are good against the run. And Mikell's missed tackles are way down from last year. Mikell played one of his best games as a Rams two Sundays ago in Chicago. Now coverage, I grant you, is a little bit of a different matter. But even coverage by the safeties hasn't really been an issue the past two games. -

I know much has been written about Pead, that he's not yet ready (and the lack of readiness seems to be attributed, accurately or not, to his hesitation at moving more immediately downfield on runs; I'm sure there's more to it.). I wonder if you know of runners who Fisher or others have drafted so highly who take time to come into their own. -
I can't really think of any high draft picks off the top of my head. But Richardson simply outperformed Pead during the preseason, and then came out and played well to start the sesason. Then again, neither C.J. Spiller or Dexter McCluster were gangbusters coming out fo the box in the NFL. Space players in college often have trouble _ at least at first _ adjusting to the speed of the NFL game. Less time and less room to dance. -

The depth certainly is better than I thought it would be heading into the season. Hayes has been good against the run the past two weeks. Heard has been a good rotational player. Sims unfortunately, probably misses this game because of what Fisher called a "mild concussion."
