Which rookie linebacker has shown the most promise in camp right now?
Are any of them playing well enough on special teams to guarantee a spot on the final roster?
Is either Aaron Brown, the speedster from Hawaii, or Sammy Brown, the tackling machine from Houston, making progress toward making the 53-man roster? -

This is still a very fluid position and it may not be decided until the final cuts. The guy who's been the most impressive lately has been Austin Pettis, and he doesn't get to play the first two games. And since Pettis doesn't count on the 53-man roster for those two weeks, the Rams have seven candidates for six spots. Which is a long way of saying I think Smith has a pretty good chance to make the roster, since Danario Alexander right now looks like the add man out. -

One of the main issues, perhaps THE main issues, entering this camp was the offensive tackle position. Nothing has happened so far to make us think that won't be an issue. But we're just two weeks _ and one preseason game _ into this thing. Too early to make blanket judgments on talent. -

im no expert, but i did not like what you wrote about Bradford's deep passes, although I agree. SB does not seem to put air under the ball, instead throwing low lasers. If you watch a guy like rivers, he throws a great arc, and lets his wrs go make a play on the ball. If SB's pass is not exactly on the money, its incomplete. What say you? -

I still have faith in Sam, but if he has another mediocre year and fails to improve his skill set, do you think Snead/Fisher would consider drafting a quarterback with one of the early picks next year? Or are there too many other holes to fill to even consider such a move. -

-

-
Well, it is a you said. It's basically the same core _ plus rookies Quick and Givens _ and then Lloyd in place of Smith. But remember, Amendola was done for the year in the fourth quarter of the first game. As for Salas and Pettis, receivers frequently make a nice jump in play in Year 2. And the Rams obviously think Quick and Givens can help or they wouldn't have drafted him. -

Will there ever be a defined WR roles? I have no idea who's #1 2 3 or where they will line up. Amendola, Smith outside? Salas mostly outside in camp ... and they're all thought to be slot guys. Gibson the current #1 (ugh!), DX limping ... again, Quick and Givens offer the most upside, but still rooks. I'm so confused. -
