Smith still can't pass block. He is playing behind Austin Howard. Here is a story on the Jets pass protection. www.nypost.com -

Do the Dolphins inactives for today point to any opportunities for the Rams to exploit? I do see that a starting cornerback is out. Do you think that, coupled with the fact that Miami has a stout run defense means that the Rams might be throwing it a bit more today (if the pass protection holds up against Cameron Wake and the rest of the Miami pass rushers)? -
I imagine the Rams will HAVE to pass the ball a lot in this game. Last week the Rams had a decent run blocking push when it needed it, but this makeshift line hasn't consistently blocked the run well. Fans demand that the Rams stick with the run even when it doesn't work, but I'm guessing Schottenheimer doesn't what to spend the whole game passing on third and seven. -

It sounds like were getting close to getting Roger Saffold and Scott Wells back. When they are ready, are they immediately going to return to the starting lineup or eased back in, in some fashion. It seems that the current line is achieving some effectiveness (at least in pass protection) from having worked together for several weeks now. Scott Wells in particular was out most of camp and the preseason and just about all of the regular season too. -
