Isaiah Pead up again for the Rams. with Ganaway back on the inactive list. Must be much less concern about Steven Jackson for this game.

Jeff, any comment on the NFL.com report about Steven Jackson voiding the final year of his contract? If this is his last year in St. Louis it'd truly be special if the Rams could make a playoff run.

Jackson wanted an extension. The Rams gave him an out instead -- and the free agent market tends not to be kind to RBs in his age bracket. So Steven's best play would seem to be to play on here and not use that out.

I've seen some suggestions that the Rams deficiencies in run defense are especially pronounced on the right side of the defensive line (meaning Robert Quinn and Cudjo/Brockers). Is that what you see too?

Brockers has played part of one game coming off an ankle injury. Hard to assess him. Quinn has improved against the run, but pass rushing is still his strong suit. Sims has played on more than half the snaps, subbing for Quinn some and playing some DT in pass rushing situations. And he's out tonight. Overall, the Rams HAVE had some major issues with their run defense -- and that falls on both the front seven and some secondary struggles in run support.

Beyond Patrick Peterson, Arizona's other cornerback and nickleback are suspect. Which Rams receiver is likely to draw Peterson and which one(s) are likely to draw the other cornerback and nickleback? Do you think that could mean a big game for Danny Amendola?

Given the high percentage of passes going Danny's way, he should lots of attention. With Gibson a bit banged up, is this the week Givens and Quick make more noise?

The Rams in essence have exchanged Isaiah Pead for Terrance Ganaway on the game day roster. (Pead was down and Ganaway was up last week.)

I believe that Arizona's two offensive tackles have allowed 12 sacks between them on the year. Certainly Quinn and Long will be taking their shots, but would you expect there to also be more blitzing by the Rams than we have seen in the first four games?

Fisher seems inclined to seek pressure from his base defense and rely on his excellent CBs in coverage. Fisher answered that question this week with a non-answer. The blitzing percentage will change from game to game depending on the opponent, the game plan and the flow of the game.
