Mark Lamping to the Jaguars makes North Florida nervous. If the Rams leave for Los Angeles, Lamping and Kahn eyeball the STL . . .
Fan support for the Rams has been excellent, considering their horrific play on the field.
Not that I am aware of.
Joe Strauss is on site. That would be a question for his chat. I imagine most of the coaching staff is there getting settled since players are already at work.
Barring catastrophic injuries -- or Tyler Greene completely falling apart, Khalil Greene-style -- I don't see how he makes the team.
It's early, but should become a perennial all-star and a Norris Trophy candidate some day. The game looks pretty easy to him.
Coughlin, Belichick, Payton and Tomlin are there for sure. And McCarthy. Both Harbaughs are in the discussion too.
Trade the No. 2 pick. Work the FA market for a WR. NFL.com suggests Colston is a possibility. Looks like the Eagles will trade Jackson after franchising him. That doesn't seem likely for the Rams, but you never know.
Bell and Ross are accomplished collegiate players. Jabari Brown was a 5-star high school player, but he didn't do much at Oregon during his brief stay. Those three, Bowers, the recruiting class and Dixon/Pressey at guard make Missouri a tourney team again next season.
I don't expect much, especially if the Blues get their injured forwards back. Armstrong is very good at disguising his intentions, but a host of factors lessen the possibility of a blockbuster trade. One big factor is the strong chemistry already in place.
Halak and Elliott aren't going anywhere. Any team acquiring Bishop would have to use him to keep him out of free agency. Given all the other goaltenders out there, that seems highly unlikely.
Jacksonville has attendance issues, stadium issues and market size issues. The lease is strong enough to keep the Jags there, but Lamping will have a big job ahead on Khan's behalf.
As anybody paying attention, quality of the market is not the issue here.
I imagine the Rams will get to work for real shortly after the draft.
This is not a huge priority for the Cardinals. If he comes way down in price and takes an incentives-laden deal, then it could happen. I can't put the odds on this one. Don't know what Roy is thinking.
Clemens worked well with Schottenheimer int the past, he has a chance. Fisher had Bell before, so he has a chance. As for the rest . . .
You've seen all the candidates for this year already. I like Sanchez and Lynn as potential high-end relievers -- and potential closers if Motte doesn't hold up. Miller figures to pitch in the bigs later this year, but I'd be surprised if he made an impact.
Another year outside the playoffs. Can't wait for the sequel.
