Folks: We're working through a tech issue at Scottrade Center, and Hullie's chat might start a few minutes late. Hang in there. In the meantime, you can indeed start submitting your questions and comments. Thanks.
IT issue has been resolved, chat will be starting in moments. Thanks for your patience!
This is Brett. Who is ready to talk some Blues hockey?
Thank you. It's great to be back. The team is very well rounded. It doesn't need much to become a real Stanley Cup contender. It's my belief that confidence and belief in each other will be the biggest benefit to the group.
Yes, and it's my belief that it will happen sooner than later.
I would score more than anyone else because that's what I do. But I'd probably be way more minus than all of the players. LOL
With the rules the way that they are now, hybrid icing is a good idea. But I'm a traditionalist and I believe that if they took the trapezoid away and let the goalies play the puck, you wouldn't need hybrid icing.
It's still the same game. The players are bigger and faster but they are also more robotic than we were when we played. But overall, it's still hockey with some subtle changes in rules and technology.
It is a great line and as I mentioned earlier with confidence and belief in himself, Backes could be a real dominant top-line performer. Steen reminds me of Jeri Lehtenen that I played with in Dallas. I always knew he was going to be in a perfect position, so I could be creative offensively.
I was never one to hold grudges and getting to know Mike away from the game, I'm not going to say we're buddies, but we have a good relationship. We spend time together at Wayne Gretzky's fantasy camp in Vegas every year.
Send it to the team and I'll send you a signed replica one, so you still have one. And thank you!
Don't look too far ahead. Keep your nose to the grindstone and remember all the things that have made you successful to this point.
Get them on the ice and practice shooting. Nothing is better than practice. Don't let them take slap shots. Take wrist shots. And get the Bobby Hull Jr. shooting DVD.
Yeah, love to talk to the guys on game days. It's fun to get in the locker room and talk to the guys. It brings back a lot of great memories.
That's an easy question. Adam Oates on the ice. Kelly Chase off the ice.
Unbelievable potential. Just needs to keep learning the game and he's going to be great.
No. Still the same-old great Blues fans.
Tell him not to worry about scoring goals. It's about learning the fundamentals of the game and having FUN. Because you're not going to score goals if you're not having fun.
Yes. We strongly suggested they acted like they've done it before. Me, Chaser and Big Walt.
He is what makes great teams. He plays his heart out. Can play any position and makes his teammates better.
No, but I'll put one on in the parade.
The day I shot the puck at the Kiel Center and it exploded. The funny part was they gave me two pucks. I said, 'What's the second one for?' They said, 'In case you miss.' I replied, 'I don't miss!'"
The worse team in the East.
